Furora began with two people and a shared instinct for finding the pieces that felt impossible to forget.
Founded by Michele and Chiara, partners in life and collectors by nature, Furora started as a personal archive of vintage clothing and accessories. The first purchases were never made with a business in mind. They came from the same impulse that drives every serious collector: the search for a specific season, an unusual construction, a rare accessory or a piece that captures a particular moment in a designer’s work.
Over time, the collection became deeper, more researched and increasingly difficult to keep private. What began as collecting for the pleasure of owning and understanding the pieces naturally evolved into sourcing for other collectors, stylists and clients looking for the same things Michele and Chiara had learned to recognise.
Furora grew out of that transition: from a private passion for collecting to a living archive in which selected pieces can move on to a new owner while remaining part of a larger visual history.
Today, Furora is still approached with a collector’s mentality. The focus is not simply on vintage fashion, but on pieces with identity: important designer periods, runway-era garments, rare accessories, unusual silhouettes and objects that remain relevant long after the season in which they were created.
Some pieces are available to purchase; others remain visible after they sell as archive references. Together, they document the taste, research and point of view behind Furora.
Based in Rome and working internationally, Furora continues to source with the same rule it began with: the piece has to be worth keeping.
